  1. Great little FM transmitter but I was disappointed in the range. Upon investigation I learned the antenna is actually a conductor inside of the audio cable which is not connected at the 3.5mm plug. I decided to try and use a longer piece of wire for an antenna and disassembled the unit. 2 screws inside the battery compartment and two small black screws underneath the display holder. I found the white antenna wire was not connected to the circuit board at all and apparently never was as it was too short to reach anything! I soldered a lenth of wire (12") to a terminal labled T2 on the cable end of the circuit board and range performace improved dramatically. Why was it never connected? Probably because it radiated too much power to meet FCC regs. Try at your own risk.

  2. Agree with Anonymous, range not good, but did locate transmitter next to radio which produces very good results. Tried 5 other popular brand transmitters, Belkin, Iriver, Sony, Griffen, Radio Shack. Dynex offers the best audio quality hands down.
