I purchased a DLO Transpod fm transmitter after doing a lot of reasearch. I heard a lot of bad things about all transmitters. They all have their problems. The reason why I ended up getting this one is because it actually holds your ipod in place. It also charges at the same time. I also needed the use of the extension that comes with it. I live in rural Montana and have no problem picking up good clear channels to listen on, but I will say that when we took this back east with us this fall, we had a very difficult time picking a station without a lot of interference - especially in the NYC and New England areas. Washington DC area was just fine. Overall I highly recommend this transmitter - I'm very happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI got my first iPod about 2 1/2 years ago and bought the DLO Transpod to use it in my truck. It was the older transpod that was more square. It worked great and had very clear sound. I got a new iPod 6 months ago and the newer more rounded transpod. I gave my old iPod and transpod to my wife. The newer transpod has less FM frequencies than the older transpod and I can't seem to find a station where I don't get at least some static. I really like the transpod because it fits nice and neat and close to my dashboard. Although to get the nice fit, I did have to alter the extension arms on both transpods, by taking them apart resoldering the wires and reassembling the swivel attachment directly to the cigarette lighter plug in. I just wish the newer design sounded as clear as the old one.
